The Amritsar Vikas Manch (Regd.) is a community development Organization, registered in India. It is committed for the all round development of the Urban habitat in & around the Holy city of Amritsar. Amritsar Vikas Manch (AVM) was established in the year 1991, under the far sighted vision of Singh Sahib Giani Kirpal Singh Ji, the organization was established keeping in view of the vision given by Guru Arjan Dev Ji in his words "Vasdi Sanghan Apaar Anup Ramdaspur". Established over a decade ago, Amritsar Vikas Manch the organisation as NGO is listed with Punjab State Council for Science & Technology in advisory & supportive role in Environment related issues.

The organization holds "Category One" Consultative Status on issues related to Amritsar. We are most vocal to press for rights of the citizens of Amritsar. As a community organization we support the Aims, Objectives, Principles and Ideals of the community service, sustainable development as per the UN Charter. We are making our contributions toward improving Urban Habitat and implementation of ‘Millennium Development Goals’. We support the "Earth Charter" Campaign and global goal to eliminate poverty.

Municipal Corporation Amritsar and SGPC should take the joint responsibility to keep the city neat and clean.All the basic facilities like,proper roads,parking transportation,living place,police security,tourist guides,public toilets, etc should be provided.People of Amritsar should co-operate with these agencies this will be the true service to the Guru ki Nagri.

Amritsar is the most polluted city. corporation is doing nothing. unsystematic traffic and rehri stands shows how the traffic police is working efficiently. you can see the heaps of garbage everywhere in this city. i m very sad to say that this is my city. no one is working properly here the corporation, the police, the leaders. see some locations like sheran wala gate, opposite gurduwara shaheed ganj sahib,bus stand,hakima gate,lohgarh gate, golden temple srai galiara side is using by bad people for doing pee. if your organising is doing something plz plz plz do somethiong for amritsar.
